My big excitement for the week (sad, but true) is that I found possibly the best stain remover ever invented.
OxiClean (the powder stuff in the tub). I'm a stain freak and hate having even the tiniest spot on our clothes. For some reason, though, some of our stuff has been getting weird spots on it. It's almost like a grease or something. I have no idea. My solution is to buy a new red front-loader. In the mean time, I'll have to go to Plan B.
Addison had 2 shirts that were particularly bad - I was going to just throw them away. I decided to give the OxiClean a shot. I just filled a big bowl full of hot water, threw in some OxiClean, and waited several hours.
Guess what? Totally clean. You would never know there was even anything on them! I was quite impressed. If you need a super stain remover, try this stuff first. Any thoughts or suggestions for the rest of us? Post them below!

teehee... great, now i'm going to have billy may's "oxiclean ad" voice running through my head all night. :-D
i've never tried it! thanks for the review!!
Okay I was totally in love with the Clorox bleach pen but the price was ridiculous per ounce. So now I use Soft scrub with bleach and it works as well at 1/10th the cost.
thanks for the Oxiclean tip.
Thanks I will have to try it in the tub.
I use this with my cloth diapers and it works great.
Another great one is Goop - in the automotive section at Walmart usually. Gets some of those really stubborn stains out too. Sometimes I pair it up with Oxi. :)

OxyClean actually has a laundry spray. That stuff has changed my life!! It will even get out stains after they have been in the dryer!! It's incredible. I have 2 small boys so mystery stains appear all the time. I have not found anything this spray will not get out. Awesome stuff!!
Cool! I have been looking for a stain remover that works.
I use the OxiClean spray bottle. It's wonderful because I just spray it on the stain right before I throw it in the washer and the stain comes out completely!!! It works on baby poop!
When it comes to "oily" stains (diaper creams, formula, baby oil) I use dishwashing liquid like Palmolive or Dawn. Spot it on, let it sit, throw in the washer like normal...voila! Works great on the dishes and works great on laundry too!
Hmm... I like the idea of an oxi-clean spray. Presoaking would be good too -- if I could remember to do it!
WHY WHY WHY? Can't I get OXICLEAN to do for me what it's doing for you guys?
I use it....but carefully. I've noticed things (color clothes) bleed and fade when I use it.
Hmmmmm...what is my problem?
I love using Simple Green for stains too. I was introduced to this years ago when my boy played baseball and I'd have to get dirt and grass stains out of his baseball pants after each game. One of the moms told us about Simple Green and I've used it since then. Also, it is chemical-free!!!
